Your Role :
You'll design, develop, and refine the mechanical components and instruments of our robotic platform intended for innovative surgeries. Your work directly impacts patient safety and surgical outcomes. You'll collaborate daily with systems, software, quality, and manufacturing engineers across the full product lifecycle - from early prototyping through industrialization.
Your Missions
As a member of the team, you will:
- Translate clinical needs into hardware requirements and specifications
- Identify, analyze, and validate technical solutions through mock-ups and prototypes
- Design and iterate on mechanical components, assemblies, and surgical instruments using CAD
- Follow-up various suppliers for printed, machined and molded parts
- Contribute to verification and validation activities (protocols, tests, reports)
- Participate in risk management, FMEA on critical components
- Support IEC 60601 certification and regulatory filings
- Participate in product industrialization and transfer-to-production
- Collaborate with Quality on non-conformances and CAPAs
Le profil recherché
Your Profile
- Engineering, Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD, ideally in the medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes: 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding
- Organized, rigorous, and autonomous
- Good analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French and the ability to communicate with international actors
- Enthusiasm and a strong desire to enhance surgical technology to improve the life of patients
- A proactive personality with the ability to integrate with the existing start-up team. Ability to listen and be a team player
- Able to learn and adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving work environment
